Cancellation Policy
Last updated: May 31, 2026
This Cancellation Policy describes how engagements with Rustral Technology LLC ("Rustral", "we", "us") may be cancelled. It works together with our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy, and with the written proposal, statement of work, or license agreement ("Order") for your engagement, which controls where it differs.
1. How to cancel
To cancel any engagement, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, stating the engagement or invoice reference. Cancellation takes effect when we acknowledge your request in writing.
2. Cancelling a fixed-scope project
- You may cancel a project at any time with written notice.
- On cancellation, you remain responsible for fees for all work performed up to the cancellation date, including any completed milestones and work in progress.
- Deposits and amounts for delivered or accepted work are non-refundable; prepaid amounts for work not yet started are handled under our Refund Policy.
- Upon settlement of outstanding fees, we will hand over the work completed to date.
3. Cancelling a monthly retainer
- Retainers renew each service period (e.g., monthly) unless cancelled.
- To stop the next renewal, give us at least fourteen (14) days' written notice before the end of the current period (or the notice period stated in your Order).
- The current paid period is not refundable; cancellation prevents future billing. We will continue to provide agreed services through the end of the paid period.
4. Software product & source-code licenses
One-time license purchases are fulfilled on delivery and are not "subscriptions"; there is nothing to cancel after delivery, and fees are non-refundable as set out in our Refund Policy. Where a Product includes an optional recurring support or update plan, you may cancel that plan with written notice before its next renewal; the current paid term continues until it ends.
5. Cancellation by Rustral
We may cancel or suspend an engagement if: payment is overdue; you materially breach our Terms; the work would require us to act unlawfully or against a third party's terms; or circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent performance. Where we cancel without cause, we will refund prepaid amounts for work not yet performed.
6. Effect of cancellation
On cancellation, all outstanding invoices become due. Confidentiality, intellectual-property, disclaimer, and liability provisions of our Terms survive. We will, on request and after settlement, provide reasonable assistance to transition completed deliverables.
